Nicholas Edginton (AAPA) – Senior Partner
Nicholas started with the business in 1960 as an articled clerk to the founder Allan Hill, becoming the senior partner upon Allan’s retirement. Nicholas has a wealth of experience in all accounting matters and business sectors, and has successfully defended many clients against challenges from H.M.Revenue & Customs. In the rare moments that he is not working, Nicholas enjoys golf and classic cars.
Dominic Edginton (FCCA)
Dominic worked at another reputable local Accountancy Practice before qualifying in the mid-90s, then taking up the opportunity to work in the role of Financial Controller for a multimillion £ turnover, dynamic and entrepreneurial Company in South London. This has provided him with actual (rather than purely text-book) experience of life on “both sides of the fence” to better understand and advise clients in all business matters. Dominic is also a Governor for an independent local school, and indulges in the occasional motorcycle touring trip with friends.
Samantha De Beer (CTA, FCCA, FMAAT)
A Chartered Tax Adviser, Samantha has a similar background variety of Practice and Commercial (to that of Dominic) to greater enhance and augment her client advisory ability. She has taken her studies further and is proud to have passed the challenging CIOT Taxation exams. Samantha also holds a post as a school Governor in between juggling her three young children and a variety of pets. She enjoys reading, horse riding and yoga.
Jacqueline Edginton
Jacqueline oversees and is responsible for the Payroll Bureau services at the practice, having worked in and around PAYE for many, many years. Jacqueline operates a regimented process in close communication with clients, as is necessary, to help them avoid the many pitfalls in this potentially complex area. Outside work she plays golf, and also enjoys reading and travel.
Paul Noakes (FCCA)
Paul works predominantly from the Horley office, or out and about helping clients on site. Paul also has extensive knowledge and command of computerised bookkeeping packages coupled with a patient and clear ability to help clients with any associated issues and problems they may have. Paul is also a parent-Governor at a local secondary school, having two sons, as well as being the District Treasurer of his local Scout Association. Paul’s dog is the unofficial office pet and mascot, who often accompanies him to work.
Richard Scott
Richard has many years of Practice experience and is effectively qualified by experience. He prepares client draft accounts and looks after many VAT and bookkeeping appointments,- usually at the Okewood Hill office. In his spare time Richard is an enthusiastic traveller and Rock-music guru, and enjoys seeking out beer festivals far and wide.
